Re: New Testing requirements

I've seen on the NWGLDE a test method using vacuum for secondary containment and spill buckets. I think it was through Leak Detection Technologies.

Re: 2015 UST REQUIREMENTS IN NON-SPA STATES

California has their proposed amendments to UST regulations up for public comment. The regulation changes are to reconcile state regulations with the new federal UST regulations.

Re: Do fiber type manhole covers float?

I was looking at the Fibrelite drawings and they sure look like they could float. Luckily we haven't had flooding conditions here - so no practical knowledge. I'm sure one of our pointy headed engineers (looking at Zane) could crank out a buoyance calculation on these. http://www.fibrelite.com/wp-co...

Re: New Standard UL-2447

Several states has been interested in this UL for several years. OPW has already received their UL. Bravo has been in testing for several years and expecting results soon. Re: SEVERE STP corrosion internally on Diesel

We're seeing a tank repair/lining almost weekly now. API 1631 (2001) and NLPA 631 (1991) were both written based on single wall - external corrosion. STI has the newest (2015) and addresses DW tanks but only condemns a tank for deflection. The general standard has been if the tank has 75% of it's ex...

Re: LOW LIQUID ALTERNATIVE TEST

Currently, secondary containment testing in California has a hierarchy: 1) Manufacturer's guidelines 2) Industry code or engineering standard 3) Approved method by a state registered engineer The PMAA may fall into group 2, but that's debatable. Legally, if there is a manufacturer's guideline, that ...

Re: LOW LIQUID ALTERNATIVE TEST

With State Cleanup Funds in place, the owner has little incentive to perform the test that best protects the environment. California will sunset our state fund in 2023. I'm curious how the insurance industry would like to see the stations that they cover tested.

How many other states have gone to this? California has been mucking through their CERS for the last several years.
