Re: I cannot see how this fire started

The flash seemed to have come up from below the nozzle.

Re: ruby only site with wayne ovation pumps

OK, it's been a long day. I don't want to say anything rash here, but I think this thread has about run out of usefulness.

Re: ruby only site with wayne ovation pumps

LSD350, you haven't been on the forum long, but you will get a lot more help from old timers if you don't take offense at the least little smilie. :o Some folks who are busy will take time out to try to help another forum member, but they might not have time to sugar coat what they say. The Internet...

Re: What would you do?

I'll forgo smart-aleck comments, because you are likely to get those anyway. What I would suggest is that you talk to a lawyer about what Larry's options might be if you don't take him aboard after offering him a job, him accepting, and him giving notice to his current employer. A lot depends on wha...

Re: siphon line while using an under pump shear valve

You say suction pump? You are using suction pump dispensers normally to deliver product? That was part of my confusion. It sounds like a suction system, but I would have expected a check valve, like an OPW 70 or 70S with a shear feature underneath the pump, not a a double-poppetted shear valve, "on...

Re: siphon line while using an under pump shear valve

Triangle, I hate to say it, but I don't understand your question. A siphon line would go between two USTs. I don't understand what a shear valve is doing in there. :?:

What is over the ceiling? Is there a way to cut an access hatch and go down instead of up?

The state report says "structural failure" of the tank. That's hard to imagine. Well, no I can imagine it, but I'd love to know the real facts.

Re: The Tank, The Tank, The Tank is on fire..

It would be interesting to see how this one turns out. It's hard to see, and I'm not a qualified supervisor, but in this video, I'm not seeing what I would have expected to see for a Permit Required, Confined Space entry work situation. Again, it could be the video.
