JOB SUMMARY:
As a Field Service Technician for Friendly Express, you will be involved in every aspect of the technology required to run an efficient and reliable Convenience Store chain.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Recommends programming sequence and equipment changes to improve the utilization of processing time.
2. Recommends and coordinates hardware and configuration, as well as modifications to assure adherence to manufacturers’ guidelines and conformity with the physical layout of equipment.
3. Identifies and resolves system operating problems in order to provide continuous business operations.
4. Maintains a working knowledge of all types of all registers, various computer programs, and other machines (money order, lottery, credit card, automatic tank gauge systems, etc.) that are in the stores
5. Maintains a working knowledge of all computer systems and programs in the Corporate Office.
6. Observes and reports equipment performance deficiencies, coordinates equipments repairs and suggests alternate hardware devices.
7. Performs preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
8. Maintains adequate supply of appropriate stock (paper, forms, ribbons, toner, etc)
9. Assists with designing and coordinating physical layout of equipment.
10. Recommends and coordinates implementation of changes in processing procedures.
11. Prepares, evaluates, and modifies processing schedules, which involves appraising available equipment and job priorities.
12. Prepares and monitors hardware maintenance schedules and procedures.
13. Maintains a log of jobs processed.
14. Prepares various administrative reports.
15. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Graduate
2. IT Certifications or college education a plus**
3. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent preferred**
4. CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent preferred**
5. 1 to 2 years’ experience preferred
6. Motivated to learn new programs
7. Experience with Point of Sales systems (VeriFone a plus)
8. Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

**Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
