Petroleum Fuel Repair and Maintenance Technician Illinois

Road Ranger, L.L.C., a Midwest Multi-Unit Travel Center chain is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Petroleum Fuel Repair and Maintenance Technician. This role requires the Technician to maintain and repair various types of electronic petroleum equipment including dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems and P.O.S. systems for multiple units within the organization.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience:

• At least 5 years of working experience with petroleum dispensers.
• Extensive experience with Automatic Tank Gauge systems and programming.
• Strong background in petroleum underground piping and tank systems.
• Strong background in Point of Sale equipment and it’s communication with petroleum dispensers.
• Ability to connect to petroleum dispensers and troubleshoot programming.

Qualified Candidates will also posses the following abilities and characteristics:
• Must have excellent diagnostic capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to respond to emergency calls 24/7 and the ability to spend 2-3 nights per week away from home.
• Perform and monitor onsite assessments of high priced repair items recommended by outside vendors.
• Resourceful, dependable, take initiative, self-directed and self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage the daily activities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization.
• Instill and deliver a culture of customer satisfaction/customer experience.
• Highly professional and ethical with unquestioned integrity.
• Results Orientation: Demonstrates a sense of urgency to overcome obstacles and achieve measurable results.
