Gas Technician wanted in Bakersfield

Jaco Oil Company is seeking a well-rounded individual that is career minded and is looking for a company to grow with. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of petroleum equipment, mainly gas station fuel dispensers and computer point of sale systems. The job involves electronic, software, and mechanical tasks. Prefer an experienced gas technician with Gilbarco, Veederoot, and VeriFone Certifications. Training is available for someone who is not experienced in the service station industry, however needs to have all of the core skills and experience required for working in this field.

Jaco Oil Company has been in business since 1968 with corporate office in Bakersfield, CA. We have 97 Convenience Store with locations mostly located in the Central Valley of California.

Requirements:
• Education: Associates Degree or higher is a major plus
• References are required; education and past jobs will be verified
• Looking for a career oriented individual, this is not a short term position
• Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Credit/Background

Recommended Experience:
• Experience as a pump and small engine mechanic
• Experience with electrical controls and electronic wiring
• Experience with computer tasks such as software installation, installing hard drives and other components, etc.
• Experience with routers and networking
• Experience with mechanical tasks such as installing valves, fittings, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

• Mechanical or Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:
• High school or equivalent (Required)

License:
• Driver's License (Required)
