What Do You Think About Female Techs?

I never see the ads. I use 3 adblocker apps with Google Chrome.

I seldom see ads because of the adblocker apps I run but these have sneaked through somehow.

It's been awhile since I've been on but I thought I'd throw in my .02. I've worked with a couple female pump techs and had a few work with me in the air force and I think it's great having a different viewpoint when working on dispensers or POS. Their minds usually operate differently and they can come up with different solutions that I wouldn't normally see. One problem we had was the new Americans treat them like dirt. I've had to set a few straight and I think we lost a couple customers because of it.

During my time in the industry I didn't see many female technicians but each one I did meet was exceptional. The general feeling I came away with in each instance was they seemed to believe they had less room for error and had to work harder and better just to be accepted.

I still wonder though why there are not more female technicians.

I only know of a few (Peggy/Lisa) both are awesome and do better work than most of the guys out there. If anyone has problems with it...too damn bad!
