$200 TLS-350 TCP/IP card? What does it actually take to get this communicating?

From other discussions on this Forum it appears that certain TLS-350 software versions and CPU boards are required for TCP/IP boards to work in the TLS-350.

Whether you use the OEM Veeder Root TCP/IP card or one of the aftermarket cards, the actual cost of installation, setup and maintenance as well as the cost of software or a service to gather and present the TLS-350 data really adds up unless you install, configure and maintain yourself, and use free terminal emulation software like Putty or Hyperterminal to access the gauge.

DIY requires ATG and IT experience, login access to the router, a public static IT address and lots of time. Not for the fainthearted. Then if the ISP or router changes you start again.

This short Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkbjnFOcGoo How to remotely access a TLS-350 ATG for $200? is worth a watch.

It does neglect to mention the additional cost of setting up firewalls or VPN's that are needed to protect the TCP/IP solution from hackers.
