Re: Bench Testing Verifone POS

Scratch that. The manager texted. System down at 08:03, 08:41, 10:57, 11:27, 12:10, 13:02. Helpdesk threw in the towel. Wincor? Something in their price book? The PED and Topaz Ethernet is direct to the SCA-325. No switches. I did run the .xml cleaner on their PLU file. Thx X. I was sure it was a ha...

Re: Bench Testing Verifone POS

Since you swapped the Topaz, and Commander how is this problem? The problem is gone...the site has been up and running three days in a row. Previously they were having to reboot 5 times a day. Success, always good. The problem is now in my garage. The loopback test is less about testing the p...

Re: Bench Testing Verifone POS

?What kind of bench testing can I do on a Topaz and a Commander? Backstory; A site had random shutdowns. The Topaz would show "remote service down...". The Commander would be at A9, heart beating, SYSTEM OK and the card readers were active. Commander, Topaz. Repeated calls to Verifone's helpdesk. V...

Fire it all up and monitor it for a while to start.
It's all fired up.

The Topaz hardware manual mentions a com port loopback connector. No mention of the pinout. I tried a couple configs with no luck. Anyone have the pinout?

Probably a broken key. It's just plastic with magnets. If it's happening on multiple dispensers - key. Just one dispenser...main display...

Re: Random gross line fail

I've been chasing random gross line fails for a while at several locations. The cashiers are convinced that they see the same person fueling every time this happens. I'm starting to believe them. Shell sites, customer uses a gift card. Transaction viewer shows only a few cents dispensed.

Re: encore 500 incorrect grade select overlay

I've seen this one a few times...make sure you verify the dispenser kicks on the correct STP and the correct grade is dispensed at the right price and shows the same on the POS.

Re: Diesel Pump not working!

What kind of dispensers? Are there isolation relays? Do the hooks go through an e-stop contactor? Mechanical or electronic line leak detection? Can you duplicate the problem? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
