Closing the shear valve will not prevent back flow as the shear valve is designed to stop fuel flow from the tank to the dispenser. The spring in the shear valve will not hold closed with pressure coming back from the meter.

Have you checked the Premium meter check valve, sounds like it would probably be a reverse flow error shutting it down.

Have two Worldpay/RBS sites running Commanders, no issues since installation. They were pretty easy installs, configurations guides were pretty much right on the money.

I've set up a few Gilb sites with more than 16 positions with no issues other than if it looses comms to a single position, it flakes that whole loop out. Haven't done a Wayne with that many yet. Do you possibly have one of 17-20 IX boards addressed incorrectly? Just throwing it out there.
