Virginia Beach Tragedy-Contractor...
This may be a little off topic. Virginia Beach is my hometown and my sister was in the building next to the one where the shooting took place in the municipal complex. She's fine, but heard and saw a bit too much. Such scary times. But in terms of our business, did anyone else feel particularly sad ...

Tank Inspections & Repair Work in Puerto Rico
I checked the PEI member directory and was astonished to see we have zero members in Puerto Rico. Is there anyone here on the forum that does work in Puerto Rico? We have some customer sites (ASTs) needing attention that were affected by the hurricanes last year and I am having a hard time finding a...

Does anyone have any 9823KF (ASTRAs) in stock?

Battle Creek Recycling Center Fire
https://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/story/news/2018/04/09/lots-black-smoke-but-no-injuries-fire-battle-creek-recycling-business/500396002/ The good news is the storage tank was not apparently affected by the fire, but look at the picture. What type of tank is that? Very odd looking to me. Assuming ...

Re: Suction Pump Shear Valves
This would be my understanding - the EBW 664 and old Tok 52 valves are shear valves for suction pumps that include a pressure regulating section that is required when suction pumps are used with ASTs. The 70S is a shear valve designed for a suction application, but does not have a pressure regulatin...

Re: Industry Acronyms
I fear the LLD conversations. Those lead down a rabbit hole every time.It would nice if some of these acronyms were added to the wiki. https://www.pei.org/wiki/index
Some of mine..... NRTL, NFPA, IFC, UL, W&M, CARB, NISTM, PPM, CFM, MLD, ELLD, PLLD...

$80,000 Fine - Minnesota Trucking Firm
http://www.startribune.com/corroded-underground-fuel-tank-brings-80-000-fine-for-minnesota-trucking-firm/420941243/ Interesting article. One thing that stands out to me is the paragraph titled "Camouflaged pipes". Seems very elaborate to have a decoy ASTs involved when really fueling from the subst...
