Slow flow after delivery for 2 hours
Have a station that every time it receives a delivery it goes into extreme slow flow for about 2 hours. Filters will not magically unstop, so I feel it may be something with the lower unit intake. We put diffusers on the drop tubes with no help. Has anyone come across this, I have seen it several times over the years---do not think I have ever seen it figured out.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

Red Jacket or FE Petro pumps? Diesel or Gasoline?
When you are dead it's likely you won't know it. It could be difficult for others. It's the same if you are stupid.

Re: Slow flow after delivery for 2 hours
Lots of reasons.
Might the pump motor be variable speed? Has the customer the habit of running low-low on fuel prior to delivery? How old and what is the product line leak detector?

Leak Detector may be problematic.

Slow only after a bulk delivery?
Is there an extended tube directing pressure relief liquids attached to motor column of the pump?
If so a likely issue being as the tank is loaded the fuel level rises and with the pump off the pressure in the motor column attached (rising back) pressure relief tube causes the pump check to open. Sometimes the check sticks open causing the MLLD to trip when dispensing is re-enabled.
For a few years if anyone noticed both Red Jacket and FE Petro shipped out pumping units without the extended discharge tube attached to the motor column. Then realized that slight changes in configurations to resolve one issue caused motor columns to start rotting off.
Within the FE Petro pump head there could be other component issues causing intermittent slow flow issues as well. Siphon and or pressure relief checks may be worn out. If one reads motor replacement and servicing instructions it's considered a good idea to inspect, grease and or replace extraction "0" rings.
