sms issues

Post by jberthi2 » Wed Dec 20, 2017 9:48 am

Customer unable to connect to commander from backoffice pc all of a sudden. When trying to login with report navigator or transaction manager get error "The request was aborted. Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel". I rebooted pc, reinstalled SMS. I can connect with my laptop...maybe a virus? Anyone had this issue?

weird. only time I've seen this was after a POS upgrade to base 40 or higher and the customer still had an XP machine.

can you access config client from the PC?

id check firewall on the back office. disable windows firewall, if using Norton or Crapafee, disable it too. (just for testing purposes)

The latest windows update more than likely enabled the firewall or windows defender which serve no purpose other than to cause headaches with communications.

As I do upgrades I am changing the customers browser for config client to run with Mozilla waterfox. It's only for 64-bit systems but makes it run a lot quicker.

So now you need to turn the Anti Virus back on and fix it so it will allow SMS to work. It is a PCI requirement to have active Anti Virus that updates on a regular basis. You may need to set a rule to allow SMS.
