Post by Richfield2 » Mon Mar 14, 2016 12:37 pm

Our tech is asking for the safest/best way to remove a drop tube that is stuck in the fill riser.

Fill tube Jack.
When you are dead it's likely you won't know it. It could be difficult for others. It's the same if you are stupid.

First one has to look down the full tube and determine if the tube has not been damaged or bent. The quickest extraction method for a just stuck tube is to hook at the bottom and slowly add pull as with a come along. Once tension is taught with the come along attached say to a bumper or hitch you just kind of bounce on the tailgate and with patience the tube should eventually work free.

The tube being up somewhat you pipe wrench while lifting and it's out.

You never seen a full dude before? Driving wild texting?

Never used a "come-a-long"?
