AS LONG AS THE LINE IS LEAKING.
Thirty (30) seconds is the rule of thumb for most lines. If the MLLD jumps to full flow after stopping at leak sense pressure and transitions to full flow the MLLD is likely to be worn out and or defective.
How long should a MLLD stay in slow flow if line is leaking?

When you are dead it's likely you won't know it. It could be difficult for others. It's the same if you are stupid.

Love it when a store tapes a sign to a dispenser telling the customer to wait 30 seconds and try again, if the flow is slow when they're pumping gas.

Slow flow caused by a MLLD typically means there is a problem with the integrity of the delivery line. A line test should be dictated.
