Wanted: Old (20+ years) Gilbarco ATG probe cable.

Post by MarkWallace » Mon Jul 02, 2018 9:58 am

I have a client with a "Gilbarco ATG System". The probe connector broke and the probe is currently not working. I sent a repair company to this facility, they reported "this is a first generation probe cable that is obsolete and you will need to install a new Veeder-Root probe." The probe is probably 20+ years old and was working fine until we attempted to remove it for the new EPA "Probe/Sensor" testing!

Please let me know if you have a probe cable that might fit. And, provide cost. Thanks.

That's a first on me. If this is a Gilbarco EMC/TLS350 the early cables were fat, but the plug was the same as the later ones. Even the 250 used the same cable with the Cap probes. I'd start by getting the form # off the top of the probe. I haven't seen any of the newest probes, or checked out the type of cable they use. Maybe the tech was a Noob and didn't know what he needed.

Could be a cap probe or the connector could be corroded off.
