Wayne 3V 590u chronic shuts off in mid sale

Post by bcliquidforce » Thu Jul 26, 2018 9:13 am

Site was opened in Feb 2002, Meters on this dispenser (which has always seemed to be a problem child) have a date of 11-28-2001. iGem was replaced around mid 2009 for unknown reason but still has ver. 49 on it.

So, the errors I am getting...
On 7-20 54.05.03 and after many requests for a receipt from the pos they printed it and the person was pumping regular at that time.

From 7 19 back to 7-12 they have 25 54.05.03 errors and I assume they all shut the sale down but I was not called out.

Same dates, have also had 54.06.05 6 times

Also a 50.05.05 once in that time, and a few more prior to that.

Also have had some 56.06.00 prior to that.

Both check valves on this (A) side have been replaced about 3 times in the last 14 months. Seems to help for a while but maybe the store is just not putting calls in...

Both flow valves were replaced 7-10-18. Problem persists.

Bad meter? Bad WIP? and which one?

Thanks,
Brian

I thought the red bag on the nozzle was a hand protector.

According to the flowchart your next step is WIP.

The error tells the device it's coming from. Run it past the HD.

Are you using the correct check valves, there are 2 different ones

I am using short check valves/red top. Should be correct for anything prior to 2007...correct?

I know that .03 is premium, and it seems that if regular is being used, 54.05.03 means that premium CAUSED the error, but I don't understand the other errors....54.06.05. 05 is midgrade, 06 is the low meter. If the premium wip is at fault, why does it point to the regular meter on this one?

I guess you're saying ignore that since there are way more 54.05.03 errors?

i thought the red check valves went into newer Imeters..and the code your getting is reverse flow with a idle wip. change the premium on the other side.

Had to take some time off due to a death in the family so this issue was on the back burner.

According to the service memo about check valves, short (red) are for meters made before 2007. Any other opinions on this?

Sunshine....you're saying, that even though all my errors point to the A side, that I should change the check valves on the other side? Has this worked for you?

Seems to me, that the one receipt I got them to print was from regular on the A side and the idle WIP would be premium on the A side...any opinions on this?

Thanks,
Brian

I had two dispensers doing the same thing, changed the check valves on both products on one side...still had issues, changed the premium on side 2..fixed.

your mileage may vary, no dispensers were injured during this issue.

Why would changing the premium on side 2 do the trick? I must be missing something important.

I had the same issue at a Safeway. Changed the premium check valve on the opposite side and it's been working for months now.
