Encore 700 blend calibration

Post by Jwilsey » Fri Jul 12, 2019 10:35 pm

What would cause on an encore 700, the mid-grade blend to be out of calibration while the unleaded and premium are fine.

One of the meters is bad, probably the premium.

Depending on how far out plus is and total volume calculated throughput for plus overall one might see slight discrepancies overall upon both feed fuel reconsolidation. Short unleaded and over premium. Proportional and meter check valves? "Blend ratio distraction" Just for fun I ask what are the blend percentages to come up with mid grade?
When you are dead it's likely you won't know it. It could be difficult for others. It's the same if you are stupid.

The State inspector wrote that the unleaded was a +4, the premium was 0, and the mid-grade was a +8.

You likely have a proportional valve issue. Total throughput normally upon reconciliation depending on how busy the particular unit is sounds like the customer is not getting any super mixed to mid grade. At the end of the month you could be seeing plus inventory in the premium tank.

Is the premium octane is 91, 92 or 93?

It’s not the valve. If fuel goes through the valve to gets counted when it passes through the meter.

It’s the meter. Check both regular and premium calibration in slow flow. Replace the meter that is out of tolerance. Most likely the premium as stated before.

Instead of a two paragraph it maybe, check calibration on both hi and low product in slow flow, that should tell the tell.
