Encore 500s 5-digit vs. 6-digit mode

Post by Jwilsey » Tue Dec 03, 2019 2:20 pm

So the customer states their hi-flo dispensers are set on 5-digit mode and they want the display to be set for 6-digit mode. I assume they want the dollar amount to read properly over $1000. So I set command code 47 from a 1 to a two, verified it took and called it good. ( didn’t have the means to pump $1000 bucks worth of fuel to verify the display.) Well the customer calls back and says that nothing’s changed. If any one has any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

CC47 only changes the way money and volume are reported to the POS. It won't change the display at the pump.

You can change the displayed decimal point location in CC42 to get an extra digit in front of the decimal location.but your local W&M may not like that.
