I have a Wayne Vista 3 product blender that I am having some issues with. On one side of the pump when trying to pump Unleaded the pump will only pump a couple of cents and then shut off. I hear a weird sound when it starts pumping. I'm not sure but it sounds like it might be coming from the meter (2pm6). I noticed a small leak coming from the premium diaphragm on the valve stem. I removed the diaphragm and saw that it was very wavy. I replaced the diaphragm and retested. I pumped about $3 worth of fuel and it worked ok. I filled up my truck that day, around $65. When the tank was full and the nozzle clicked off I heard that same weird sound again and the display started registering without pumping until it finally stopped on it's own. Thinking there may have been something wrong with the valve itself I went ahead and replaced the solenoide valve (just the valve not the whole stem part) and the diaphragm again. It was very wavy again. The exact same thing happened afterwards. I'm not sure if anyone has run into this before on these kind of pumps and I'm not too sure if I should start replacing meters just quite yet. If anyone has any suggestions on how to proceed I would greatly appreciate it.
Oh no, I have not. Thanks for the suggestion.maverick wrote:Have you checked the Premium meter check valve, sounds like it would probably be a reverse flow error shutting it down.
One thing I forgot to mention was that I shut the shear valve off on the Premium and it still did the same thing.
Closing the shear valve will not prevent back flow as the shear valve is designed to stop fuel flow from the tank to the dispenser. The spring in the shear valve will not hold closed with pressure coming back from the meter.
